INTERIOR TRENDS FOR 2022
MANIFEST YOUR MOODBOARD
If diving into a creative home project feels a tad
overwhelming, a moodboard is the perfect place to start.
This month, we've partnered with some talented interior designers,
to show you how to nail 2022's home trends.
Tracy Cole of
@HELLOFLORAUK
"Creating a moodboard is essential when you’re planning a new home project. Pulling together ideas and honing the look and feel of a new room is empowering! They let you be creative (and even make mistakes) before you commit to the final design.
Start by creating a folder of images that you love or are inspired by — I use Pinterest for this. It's a great platform for collating ideas."

"When we begin to plan a moodboard, we look for that one thing. Whether it is a found object from travelling, or a killer rug, we always look for the first wow factor.
From there we would start to push and pull the balance off the board. Does it need more contrasting materials? Use
black hardware. Does it need more soft touches? Use a light linen fabric. Always trust your gut."

"Brass and warm metallic tones are timeless and will still feature highly in 2022. Colours of nature and sustainable materials are also strong. We are seeing more consideration for these along with biophilic design, which incorporates nature into the indoor environment. Textural finishes such as clay wall plaster and paneling are also big."
